Hi, I’m Shannon Eaton,

PMHNP-BC

I’m a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner board certified by the ANCC. I believe in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—for a truly balanced and sustainable approach to mental wellness by utilizing both traditional and integrative treatment options.

I help kids and adults ages (6-60) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, burnout, and insomnia, and those who have been misdiagnosed and are still searching for answers about their mental health. I specialize in working with individuals healing from trauma, navigating blended family dynamics (parents, step-parents and step-children), and members of the LGBTQ+ community seeking inclusive, safe and affirming mental health support.

After years of practicing traditional psychiatry, I realized that mental health treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all. I began to explore alternative healing modalities, functional medicine, and trauma-informed care to offer a more holistic and personalized treatment experience. Through this journey, I discovered how combining Western medicine with Eastern wisdom, along with functional testing and mind-body practices, can truly transform my patients’ lives.

I now focus on providing individualized care that addresses not just symptoms, but also the root causes of mental health challenges, empowering my patients to heal from the inside out. I partner with my clients using an integrative approach that includes traditional medication management, talk therapy, lab testing, natural supplements, lifestyle coaching and mindfulness practices to create personalized treatment plans that go beyond symptom management.

My Areas of

Focus

My Approach

I believe that true mental health care goes beyond simply alleviating symptoms. It’s about understanding the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and treating the root causes of distress, not just the outward signs. I use a collaborative, integrative approach to ensure that each individual’s treatment plan is as unique as they are. By combining traditional psychiatric medications with integrative supplements and modalities, trauma-informed care, and mind-body therapies, I aim to help you not only feel better but heal deeply and sustainably.

What my clients say

about me

“I’ve been seeing Shannon for about a year now and I will continue to see her as long as I have need and as long as she is in practice. I never feel undereducated, underheard, or undervalued in our sessions. Each time, she clearly explains 1. what the medicine is, 2. what the risks & benefits are and 3. why it would be a good or not good fit for me personally. All options were discussed and no medicine was ever prescribed unless I gave consent. Medicine was never pushed/promoted, and my needs were always promoted to the highest priority. I feel supported, like I can always be honest about what I need or what problems arose, and that she listened to every detail and took my wholistic person in consideration when prescribing. I never felt like a puzzle to be solved or a problem to be fixed; I always felt like a human that she wanted to help as best she can. I couldn't recommend her more.”
