I’m an psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who believes that mental health care should honor the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I take a holistic, personalized approach to healing that combines traditional psychiatry with Integrative and traditional medicine, trauma-informed care, and mind-body practices. My goal is not just symptom management, but a deeper, lasting transformation for those I work with.
My journey into psychiatry wasn’t a straight line. It was shaped by both personal experiences and professional realizations. Over the years, I’ve come to understand that true healing comes when we look beyond just medications or traditional therapy, and address the root causes of distress. This realization grew from my work with high-performing professionals, women navigating life transitions, and trauma survivors, many of whom were not finding the lasting relief they needed in conventional mental health care. I began to ask myself: What’s missing? How can I help my patients not just feel better, but heal on a deeper level? That’s when I began exploring integrative treatment options, nutritional support, and mind-body healing, all of which now play a central role in my practice.
The path that led me to this work was inspired by my deep respect for the power of healing in all its forms. I’ve always been fascinated by how the mind, body, and spirit interact, and I believe that addressing each of these areas leads to the most profound changes. Over the years, I’ve learned that trauma, stress, and life transitions often show up in the body, in ways we don’t always recognize, and can significantly impact our mental health. That’s why I combine cutting-edge mental health treatments with functional lab testing, nutritional guidance, and mindfulness practices to create personalized, holistic care plans.
In addition to my work, I’m a firm believer in the importance of balance and self-care. When I’m not working with patients, you’ll likely find me enjoying time outdoors—whether that’s hiking, walking, or gardening. I find peace in nature, and I encourage my patients to incorporate moments of stillness into their own lives. I also love learning—whether through continuing education, exploring new therapies, or reading about mind-body medicine. I love to travel and I find that staying curious helps me serve my patients better and grow as a clinician.
I know that seeking mental health support can feel overwhelming, but I’m here to offer a safe, affirming, and collaborative space for you to heal. Together, we’ll create a path forward that works for you—one that helps you regain balance, clarity, and the tools you need to thrive.

What my clients say about me
“I see Shannon through telehealth and so far every appointment has been great. Shannon is always on time (so I’m not sitting around waiting…) and if there are technical issues, her team reaches out asap. I feel as though Shannon takes the time to get to know her patients and she is the most involved psych I’ve personally had— she will ask what’s going on in my life instead of just diagnosing and prescribing! She is the first mental health provider I’ve felt truly comfortable opening up to. The occasional times I’ve had issues with getting my medication, her team is easy to contact and try to resolve the issue as soon as they can. Overall, I have only positive experiences with Shannon and her team!”
